Celebrating the sweet side of life
DOUGLASDALE - Members of the Douglasdale police station dressed up in cultural outfits and gave members of the community a special treat for Women's Day.
The women danced and sang at the police station before moving to the intersection of Douglas Drive and Witkoppen Road, where they treated motorists to sweets.
Warrant Officer Balan Mutha, head of communication at the Douglasdale police station said it was so wonderful to see the women members of the station interacting with the community.
“The community responded so well with motorists smiling and encouraging our members, who were handing out sweets.”
The women also took time out of their day to visit Witkoppen Clinic, where they encouraged members of the community and spread joy by handing out sweets to patients and staff at the clinic.
