Lipizzaners give Women’s Day performance
MIDRAND - On 9 August the South African Lipizzaners in Kyalami held a special National Women's Day performance.
Despite heavy rains on the day the show went on. The venue was changed from the Lipizzaner courtyard to the indoor performance hall at the last minute.
The guests were treated to a performance by the famous white horses while sipping wine and eating a light lunch from Cafe Capriole. Guests also listened to pianist Neil Bennett from the Welsh Male Voice Choir of South Africa.
Director of the South African Lipizzaners, Judy Vertue said, “The noble Lipizzaner stallions are a very special part of our South African heritage and we are so fortunate to have them here in Midrand.”
Apart from the Women’s Day performance the Lipizzaners also perform every Sunday at 10.30am.
