Dr Avinash Kolloori offers a minimally invasive, same day treatment option for back pain by treating contained disk herniation’s with the least invasive decompression / discectomy in an outpatient setting with an incision of less than 1 inch. The Disk FX system is an innovative, minimal access spine system designed to efficiently access the damaged disk without injury to surrounding disk anatomy such as muscle and bones. Disk FX promotes and supports multiple treatment options compared to other small incision single treatment devices currently available. In addition to manual decompression Disk FX can help to clean the disk and seal the damaged annulus. Disk FX provides an option for patients who have had failed conservative care and are not ready for major surgery. It is a minimal access procedure performed on an outpatient basis whereby the patient will go home the same day as the procedure with only a bandage on their back. Following manual removal of the offending herniation the patented Trigger Flex device is activated to help clean the disk and help seal tears in the annulus, as a result the pressure on the disk is removed and the consequent ease of symptoms. Who is a candidate for this procedure: Patients with symptomatic contained herniation’s who have not responded to conservative treatment may experience relief from the use of Disk FX.
