Conclusion of Makro Appeal Hearing

On 18 November, the Makro appeal hearing will continue with the final verdict from the township’s planning board expected to be be delivered. Makro is appealing a ruling by the City of Joburg mayoral committee that denied their application for a superstore at the corner of Leslie Avenue and Merrow Lane in Magaliessig. The Magaliessig Action Forum is encouraging residents to try attend the hearing even if it’s just for an hour or two as it is imperative that residents show their support either for or against the building of the store.
