What needs to be done to protect children in your community?
PATIENCE CHAUKE: We must educate parents and the community to put our children first, no matter what it takes, they can’t come second or last.AMOS MACHEBELE: I would make sure that the people who rape children get a huge sentence [in court], even more than they are getting now.SHADRACK MATHYE: I want to see the children of Diepsloot taken off the streets and brought somewhere where they will be safe.TIMOTHY ZULU: I think we need to spend time teaching children their rights and responsibilities because doing so can change their lives.JUDITH MTHOMBENI: We need everyone to work together to take care of children – schools and families and government – everyone needs to work together.
