Pavement special at Douglasdale
DOUGLASDALE - The Douglasdale Business Forum has secured a sponsor for the Douglas Drive pavement situated opposite the Douglasdale Police Station.
The forum’s members have joined forces to help clean up the neighbourhood, and are working at landscaping the eroded Douglasdale Drive pavement. The forum is gaining in numbers and resources as it has gained sponsorship from local businesses.
“We can’t afford to do the paving that was proposed for the pavement between Witkoppen Drive and Swallow Street on Douglas Drive, which is sorely needed, but the landscaping will brighten that corner,” said Susan Mottram, chairperson of the Douglasdale Business Forum.
Mottram said Brigadier Kruger, station commander of the Douglasdale Police Station had committed the stations’s garden service company to cleaning and maintaining the pavement on a weekly basis.
