Animal shelter makes urgent plea
FOURWAYS- FourPaws animal shelter is appealing to the community for their assistance in order to feed the animals in their care.
The shelter, which is on William Nicol Drive close to Diepsloot, houses a number of cats and dogs. They provide veterinary assistance to pet owners who do not have the funds to care for their pets, but in extreme cases of abuse or neglect the animals are taken to the shelter.
At the shelter the animals are rehabilitated, neutered or spayed and cared for until they are adopted. Currently the shelter has a number of animals waiting to be adopted and due to the festive season many of their resources have been exhausted.
FourPaws is making an urgent plea to the public to help them out with donations of money or pet food.
The shelter’s Sacha Fraser said, “It is never easy to ask people for donations but unfortunately that is our only hope of surviving.”
She added, “Please help us to help our furry friends.”
