Opportunity for entrepreneurs in Diepsloot
DIEPSLOOT - Applications have opened for entry into Riversands small, medium and micro enterprises (SMME) Incubation Hub outside Diepsloot.
Budding entrepreneurs from Diepsloot and the surrounds are invited to apply for inclusion in the new business incubation programme. Based across the road from Diepsloot, the Incubation Hub will help build and grow SMMEs from the area to become sustainable businesses. The incubation programme includes mentoring, business training and support, and runs for a period of three years after which ‘incubatees’ will graduate to the Riversands Commercial Park. The Riversands SMME Incubation Hub will eventually accommodate 160 SMMEs.
The Riversands team will be handing out application forms over the next two weeks from Tuesdays to Fridays at different areas in Diepsloot. On 24 June and 1 July they will be at Akani Community Centre from 8:30am to 2pm and 8:30am to 12. On 25 June and 2 July they will at the Multi-purpose Community Centre on JB Marks Street, extension 7 from 8:30am to 2pm and 8:30am to 12. On 26 June and 3 July they will be at the Social Development Offices on Ngonyama Drive, extension 2 from 8:30am to 2pm and 8:30am to 12. On 27 June and 4 July they will be at the library and Diepsloot Youth Centre on Ngonyama Drive, extension 2 from 8:30am to 2pm and 8:30am to 12.
Application forms from existing businesses as well as entrepreneurs with a good idea for a business should be accompanied by a certified copy of the applicants ID and proof of residential address. Once the application forms have been received, applicants will be informed of the selection process via SMS.
