Holiday fun at Gracepoint

GLENFERNESS - There was fun, games and life lessons for the children who attended Gracepoint Church's annual holiday club from 30 June to 4 July .

The club, which was held at the church’s premises in Glenferness, started every morning at 9am with singing, dancing and worship before the children were split up into their age groups to play games, have discussion time or do craft work.

The theme for this year’s holiday club was Kung Fu Panda. To the delight of the children, their leaders performed a scene from the film every day to illustrate a life lesson or moral in an entertaining way.

The children also enjoyed games based on the popular TV show Minute to Win It where difficult tasks had to be completed within a minute in order to determine a winner.

Every day the children also welcomed a visit from Posty the Postman, also known as Reverend Gary Rivas who rode in on his motorcycle to deliver letters they had written to each other and their leaders, as well as letters their leaders had written back to them.

But most of all, the children seemed to enjoy spending time with their old holiday club friends and making new friends.
