Councillor will continue her good work

FOURWAYS- Ward 93 councillor Annette Deppe has said she will keep working hard on behalf of the residents of her ward as this year rolls out.

“This year has been a roller-coaster of the good and bad,” said Deppe. “We had the start of Eskom’s load shedding bringing much chaos and disarray to the community with their erratic schedules, the endless problems with vagrants occupying the riverbeds, to the lack and poor maintenance of our roads, this year has brought upon its fair share of issues and problems,” said Deppe.

However, she accounted that with the help of the community, city officials and businesses there have been some major successes in the ward for this year. “The much needed Witkoppen upgrades, taxi rank clean-ups in Sunninghill, the rejection of a hip-hop event, and the resurfacing of the infamous Nanyuki Road are just a few of the achievements which Deppe secured.

There are still many challenges which face the ward said Deppe, but these can be tackled and examined in the new year. She detailed that the progress made this year will be used as a template going forward.

“I would like to thank everyone who has helped me and my ward progress and grow this year, including the residents who are my inspiration to make the suburb we live in a safe and happy place,” said Deppe.

She wished everyone a wonderful festive season and reminded her residents to be safe if travelling.
