Missing girl found

DIEPSLOOT - Family members of 15-year-old Amahle Khanyile, a girl who went missing in September, have confirmed that the missing teenager was found on 10 December.

According to Joan Thompson, the teen’s mom’s employer, Khanyile was found by a family friend in Diepsloot at 8pm.

“A family friend spotted Khanyile in the area and promptly contacted the family advising them of her whereabouts. Family members then came to pick her up,” she said.

Thompson added that although Khanyile wasn’t physically harmed, the girl refused to talk about it.

Khanyile had last been seen singing and dancing at her home near the Lion Park informal settlement on 26 September.
