loveLife engages with youth on new online platform

JOBURG - loveLife’s mobisite, iloveLife, is now rewarding young people in Alex who make healthy lifestyle choices.

loveLife’s mobisite, iloveLife, has now made it possible for young people in Alex and other areas to actively engage in and make informed lifestyle choices – and to be instantly rewarded for doing so.

Thousands of young South Africans have already become a part of the iloveLife.mobi online community and have access to online practical information which equips them with the knowledge they need to make informed lifestyle choices.

The mobisite was launched in July last year to engage with the youth on social issues which affect their daily lives, from relationship challenges to recognising the signs of depression and other common concerns.

“For young people, having access to iloveLife.mobi is like having a big brother or sister in your pocket. You can ask him or her the important questions and you get the best answers quickly and easily,” said Jade Archer, senior manager of digital operations of loveLife.

“We understand that young people want to access brief, relevant information at their convenience, but they also want to have fun. It’s for this reason that the site has lots of cool quizzes, self-assessments and fun trending images that they can share on Facebook and Twitter.”

According to Archer, loveLife really wants to help young people access information in a format that resonates well with them. iloveLife.mobi is going on a massive recruitment drive, encouraging South Africa’s young people to register as users of the mobisite, and to make affirming lifestyle and life choices.

From 7 March, the first 20 000 young people who registered on iloveLife.mobi received a share of R100 000-worth of cellphone airtime. In addition, loveLife wants young people to tell their friends about iloveLife.mobi and that’s why in April, groups of five friends who sign up together stand a chance to win a night out together at the movies.

“At loveLife, we believe that making positive choices brings lifelong rewards, which is why we encourage young people to register on www.iloveLife.mobi. Plus, young people who sign up can also win super-hot prizes, with things such as smartphones, tablets, airtime and movie vouchers.”
