Douglasdale police lend a helping hand

DOUGLASDALE – The police and a local church visited the Msawawa informal settlement recently to hand out food and clothes, and also educate the public about crime.


Officers from the Douglasdale Police Station with members of the St Paul’s Church of God held an outreach and divine intervention programme recently.

They visited the Msawawa informal settlement, where clothing and food were handed out to residents in need.

This was aimed at addressing contact crimes which include domestic violence, gender-based violence, sexual assault, woman and child abuse and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
