Tourism businesses get support
PAULSHOF – The focus was on businesses related to tourism at the most recent 'networking for a purpose' event hosted by the Fourways Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Tourism was the focus of the most recent ‘networking with a purpose‘ event hosted by the Fourways Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) on 4 June.
About 40 attendees – from hotel groups, boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, small lodges and events venues – came together at the German Country Club in Paulshof on the morning. This particular event was sponsored by the Linen Drawer, from Paarl in the Cape, with representatives from the company discussing their experience in the industry and offering solutions to companies in the bedding sector.
“The Fourways Chamber holds events for members and non-members alike,” explained chief executive officer Linda Blackbeard.
“We hope to act as the voice of business in the area.
“For our next ‘networking with a purpose’ event, we’ll have a very special guest speaker in attendance.”
Next month’s networking meeting will be held at Riboville Boutique Hotel in Waterfall and Marq Roberts, chief executive officer of the Fury Motor Group, will be sharing tips on going about purchasing your next vehicle.
