Dainfern College community gets musical

DAINFERN – The Dainfern College community were able to enjoy the musical performances by staff and learners at the school while enjoying a relaxing picnic and quality time.

Dainfern College’s music department amazed parents and learners at their picnic-style concert called For the Love of Music on March 16.

The event had a huge amount of support despite the concert being postponed from February 23. With a large number of attendees, some were even situated outside the allocated music rooms. Attendees were also encouraged to enjoy the concert with their picnic baskets and blankets.

Musical performances included piano and string instruments and vocal performances by staff members Brinley Yon, Heylene Maree, Dr Urvi Drummond, Melissa Witbooi, Elsa Venter, Zelda Martin and the high school violin ensemble. The ensemble was also accompanied by Grade 7 bass player Aiden Pearce.
