On May 19, two individuals, aged 24 and 25, were arrested in Diepsloot Ext 13 for possession of suspected stolen property and a housebreaking implement.

According to Diepsloot Police Station spokesperson Captain Tinyiko Mathebula, three suspicious-looking individuals were standing on the side of the road when the police were doing their routine patrols in Ext 7. The suspects fled in different directions when the officers stopped their vehicle and only one was apprehended. A bolt cutter was discovered in the suspect’s possession after being searched.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with possession of suspected stolen items and possession of a housebreaking implement. They will appear in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on May 20.
