HeronBridge welcomes new high school head

The new head of high school at HeronBridge College said his appointment is a privilege and an honour.

HeronBridge College has appointed former senior deputy head of Fourways High School Garth Neilson as its new head of the high school.

Head of marketing at HeronBridge Tash Marot said the new head brings 30 years of teaching experience to help the school achieve its objective to offer a heart-led approach kind of education at the school.

“Neilson is passionate about educational development and encouraging children to grow with excellence and integrity. He holds a postgraduate in education from Wits University and courses in school management and sports psychology.

“He has almost 30 years of working experience in the school environment under his belt. His knowledge and experience provide him with a firm footing on which to begin his role at HeronBridge College.”

Neilson said it was both a privilege and an honour to have been appointed as head of the high school at HeronBridge. “I am excited to be able to work with all stakeholders to further strengthen the academic, sporting, cultural, leadership and human relationships within the learners, staff and parents. I thank God for the journey ahead and am thrilled to begin this new chapter.”
