Bongumusa Jwara: I don’t have a problem with it. I think it is a part of the change for the country. It’s good that a national icon is getting a road named after her. I think it will be perfect for the country.

Fourways locals were asked to weigh in on the name change from William Nicol Drive to Winnie Mandela Drive.

Mbongeni Nkomo: I think it’s a great move, for real. Economic-wise, I don’t know but looking at the history, the Mandelas were well-respected.
Kyran Laws: It’s not too much of a problem. I only see the problem coming down to map readers, but I mean, if you’re going to change it on the GPS then it should be fine for most people.
