St Peter’s proud to make history
St Peters College has added a new member in their council and broke history.
St Peter’s College is happy to announce Parmi Natesan as the first woman to chair the school’s council. The headmaster Rui Morais said the school established a strong and productive working relation in the past few years.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside Parmi Natesan, the first female chairperson of our college council. Parmi and I have established a strong and productive working relationship over the past few years, during her tenure as the Finco chair and vice-chair of the council. Her dedication, expertise, and commitment to the betterment of our institution have been evident throughout our collaboration, and I look forward to continuing this partnership in her new role.”

He said this a great milestone for the school because it speaks directly to the school’s vision and mission.
“It reflects our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and gender equality. It sends a powerful message about the value we place on different perspectives and experiences in leadership roles. Having a diverse leadership team enriches our decision-making processes and fosters a more inclusive environment for all members of our community.”
Morais beams with enthusiasm about this development. He said Natesan is armed with a wealth of experience from strategic vision, to a very deep understanding of the institution’s values and goals.
“Her leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success and growth of St Peter’s College. In terms of the qualities and skills we were looking for in the chairperson’s role, experience in leadership, strategic planning, and governance were crucial.
“Additionally, a strong commitment to our institution’s mission and values, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and build consensus were essential criteria. Parmi exemplifies these qualities, making her an ideal candidate for the position. I am confident that her leadership will inspire our community and drive positive change at the school.”
Natesan said, “Our country and the rest of the world needs problem solvers and innovators to face the challenges and grab the opportunities to come. Having two children at the school myself, my hope is for St Peter’s College to produce talented and forward-thinking young citizens who can compete on a global scale.”
