The preschool was buzzing with energy as children arrived in colourful outfits representing a wide array of occupations – from heroic firefighters and caring nurses to talented chefs, dedicated teachers, skilled builders, and compassionate vets. Many children brought along fun props such as stethoscopes, tool belts, and mixing spoons, adding extra flair to their outfits and sparking conversations about their chosen roles.

Throughout the day, the children eagerly shared stories about who they were dressed as and discussed what those jobs involved. The activities included reading engaging stories about community helpers, acting out various occupations, and participating in discussions about how each profession contributes to our society.
“Our Occupations Day was more than just dress-up. It was a celebration of dreams, curiosity, and learning about the many ways people work together to keep our community moving forward. We are so proud of our little learners for participating with such enthusiasm and imagination,” said principal Bianca Durrant.
“A heartfelt thank you goes to the parents and caregivers who supported the event by helping children create their outfits and engaging in thoughtful conversations at home. Their involvement helped make this day truly special for everyone.”
