Where Art, Flavour & Culture Meet. Say Hello to Nando’s Fourways Mall

Nando’s Fourways Mall was designed with a clear mission: to elevate your dine-in experience. We’ve introduced a self-service station, with bigger sauce bottles and the option to have bottomless soft serve and soda.

For the interior, we teamed up with KP Create and the incredible Spier Art Trust to select standout art pieces showcased on two custom divider screens. With mottled glass and sculpted concrete bowls by The Concrete Corporation, these screens are absolute showstoppers. And the art doesn’t stop there. With 103 pieces across columns, walls and shelves, every corner has something to say. It’s a full visual feast.

We also collaborated with some exceptional local makers:

  • Ashanti Design Studio crafted the oversized disc wall lights glowing against our feature brick wall.
  • Douglas and Company added sleek brass pendants.
  • MashT brought their bold, beaded Liz pendants for an extra spark.

The restaurant features patterns by NYHD’s S Mdunyelwa, including the “Indlu (house)” design printed on acoustic ceiling boards and on the backrests of Naturalis’ Miyabi chairs, as well as the playful “Dlala (play)” pattern used on our booth and bench upholstery. A cork-clad bulkhead by Wiid Design, illuminated to create the illusion of floating, gives the space its final “wow” moment.

And we can’t forget the squad of South African creators who helped bring the entire casa together: Houtlander, The Urbanative, Pedersen & Lennard, Dokter & Misses, Neil Grantham Design Studio, PlantR and Design Afrika.

To celebrate the opening of this new restaurant and the launch of our brand-new advert, we hosted a proper Nando’s-style gathering on 14 November 2025. Among the flaming crowd were media, influencers and the star-studded cast featured in the ad, including Noxolo Grootboom and Kwesta. Our new brand direction, “Oh what a place!”, isn’t just a tagline. It’s a nod to the original South African maverick spirit that built this brand, and a reminder that Nando’s is still a cultural institution that cooks as boldly as the people it serves. It signals a return to the ingredients that made South Africans fall in love with us: flame-grilled flavour, warm hospitality and a sense of humour you’ll only find here.
