Junxion Gymnastics flips into the holiday season and reflects on 2024 achievements
Junxion Gymnastics shares their incredible 2024 journey, from record-breaking competitions to innovative programs.
The Junxion Gymnastics team extends warm wishes for a joyful and healthy Christmas to the community that supports them throughout the year.
Nikki Stubbs, the owner and head coach of Junxion Gymnastics, shared an overview of the gym’s year. “The team kicked off 2024 with excitement, hosting a successful mother & child gym class fundraiser that delighted participants.
“Following in this spirit, a similar event was held for Father’s Day, reinforcing the team’s commitment to family involvement in gymnastics. November welcomed the annual pajama & pizza party, which continues to be a beloved highlight for the young gymnasts.

“The gymnastics year was remarkable from the start, beginning with the level 1–3 gymnastics season, where no fewer than 56 gymnasts earned Junior Colours from Central Gauteng Gymnastics.”
May saw the introduction of tumbling as a new discipline, with 19 tumblers achieving the same recognition. The team took great pride in their level 4+ competition season, which commenced in July. 14 gymnasts qualified for the prestigious SA Gym Games in Cape Town in September, each able to earn Senior Colours.
Many of these talented athletes performed commendably, placing among the top competitors.

In an exciting development, one of Junxion’s gymnasts has been selected to represent South Africa at the region 5 competition in Zimbabwe this December, marking a significant milestone for the team and the athlete.
Another highlight of the year was the Stars Program, which successfully graded over 200 children, laying a strong foundation in gymnastics skills for future competitors. This year also saw the inception of GymTots – an innovative class which allows caregivers to join children, aged 1 to 3, in gymnastics activities, fostering early engagement in the sport.
The Junxion team also made significant strides in parkour training, where participation has increased notably, showcasing the growing interest in this dynamic discipline. The coaching team also enjoyed teaching gymnastics at Reddam Helderfontein and Broadacres Academy every Friday, and wishes to express gratitude to these vibrant communities for their ongoing support.
As the year draws to a close, the team is excited about their upcoming displays, where all the gymnasts will showcase their talents for family and friends, celebrating the achievements of the season.
