B-Bots coding fun at Sunninghill Junior College
Learners from Sunninghill Junior College develop 21st-century skills through hands-on coding experiences.

Sunninghill Junior College celebrated Eduteach Day with a blast of coding fun with friendly robots called B-Bots.
The event provided a platform for learners to explore the world of coding through interactive and engaging activities that showcased the basics of coding.
Principal Bev Singh expressed her delight in seeing the learners enjoying learning and experimenting with the B-Bots. “It was amazing to watch our little learners play, experiment, and develop new skills while having so much fun,” she said.

“Integrating EduTech activities like B-Bots into the curriculum is essential in developing essential 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity in our students.”
The B-Bot activities were designed to help learners understand the basics of coding by making the robots move, turn, and stop with simple commands. The hands-on coding experiences promoted computational thinking and encouraged logical reasoning, perseverance, and collaboration among the learners. As they worked together to navigate challenges, the learners also developed confidence and a sense of achievement.

According to Singh, incorporating technology-driven learning is vital in preparing learners for a future where digital literacy is key. “We want our students to be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
“By making learning engaging, interactive, and fun, we are giving our learners the best possible start in life.”
