NGI Fourways SUSTAIN Project educates

NGI Fourways campus champions health education through the SUSTAIN Project at Radley Private School.

The NewBridge Graduate Institute (NGI) Fourways breathed life into learning at Radley Private School, as enthusiastic first year students showcased an engaging, educational session all about health, as part of the impactful NGI’s Sustain Project.

NGI principal Cisna Bote explained that the project aligned with NGI’s core values: empowering student leaders and uplifting the community.

It focuses on seven key principles: Service, supporting communities; Unity, building relationships; Sustainability, Teaching, educating for impact; Advocacy by promoting engagement; Impact through creating meaningful change, and Networking by expanding our reach.

These principles guide NGI’s outreach efforts and ensure that each project contributes holistically to both institutional goals and community upliftment.

This particular project encouraged student leaders to participate in a hands-on approach with local schools, imparting knowledge and encouraging school learners to lead active and healthy lifestyles in a fun way.

The day commenced in the classroom, where Radley learners were shown how to interpret heart rate and blood pressure readings. These important concepts were introduced through interactive demonstrations by NGI sports management students, teaching learners how to measure their peers’ vital signs as well as their own.

The sports management students led the day with confidence and enthusiasm, demonstrating not only their theoretical knowledge but also their ability to connect with younger learners in meaningful and practical ways. Their passion for education, sport, and community was evident in every moment, making a lasting impression on both the Radley learners and staff.

“It was truly inspiring to witness our students sharing their expertise in such a meaningful way at Radley Private School. The connection we were able to make with the Grade 9 learners was wonderful. This initiative exemplifies NGI’s commitment to community engagement and building strong relationships with our local schools and community. I’m incredibly proud of the positive impact our students and staff are making,” said Sibelle Fourie, vice principal of student affairs at NGI Fourways Campus
