Local gymnasts strike gold at district tumbling competition

26 of Junxion Gymnastics tumblers dazzled at the Central Gauteng District Tumbling Competition, each earning a gold or silver medal and a spot at provincials.

Central Gauteng Gymnastics hosted its annual Tumbling District Competition on August 16, and it was a weekend of celebration for the Fourways-based Junxion Gymnastics and Tumbling Club.

The club entered 26 enthusiastic tumblers, and every single one of them walked away with either a gold or silver medal.

This outstanding achievement also earned all the gymnasts their Central Gauteng Gymnastics Junior Half Colours, securing them a spot in the upcoming Provincial Tumbling Competition on August 30.

Brooklyn Miles, Gareth Stubbs, and Tebogo Pitsoane, tumbling coaches from Junxion Gymnastics, expressed their immense pride in their athletes’ hard work and determination.

Club representative Michelle Johnson shared her excitement: “We are so proud of our tumblers. Their results are a reflection of the dedication they put into training and the joy they bring to the sport. It is fantastic to see so many young children showing such enthusiasm for tumbling, and we cannot wait to see this discipline grow even further at Junxion Gymnastics.”
