Jordan is the son of the late former Springbok scrum-half. “Jordan has been and still is a member of the club and a diehard Liverpool supporter ever since he was a little boy,” chairperson of the club, Nic Papas said.
The nation gathered to pay their last respects to Joost van der Westhuizen at his memorial service at Loftus Versveld in Pretoria.
He added that this has been Jordan’s passion throughout the years and Joost, his estranged wife Amor and Jordan’s sister Kylie became family members of the club. “Jordan plays soccer for the U13 team at the club and has also been selected to represent the District Team for Gauteng at the Donosti Cup in Spain in July,” he said.

Papas and some players of the club attended Van der Westhuizen’s memorial service at Loftus Versveld in Pretoria. Papas said, “It was important for me to be at the memorial service together with three U16 players because, not only did we want to show our respect to the family as a club, but also support for Jordan and Kylie. Joost used to often be on the side of the field supporting his children and we will cherish his memories forever. He is gone but certainly not forgotten.”
