He said dedication and training hard every week helped him book his place on the national team. “I started shooting when I was about eight years old. I always had a dream to become one the best in shooting but I could not because I had other priorities that impeded me to have enough time to train. This year I put my head down and practiced shooting every single weekend and it paid off for me. I have made the South African team and am going to go to England next year.”

He said he was grateful to his father who introduced him to the sport and taught him basic shooting skills. “I am so grateful to my father who showed me how to shoot and since then I have loved it. My future goal is to become world champion which will be a long time away but if I keep practicing I think I will get there.”
