Local fighters gear up for a fierce showdown at Silverlakes, promising high-stakes action under the WAKO banner.
The anticipation is building for Kings K1 86, set to electrify Silverlakes Farm Hotel on August 30 with a thrilling World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) Pro K1 National Title clash between Given Majuba and Cole Henning.

Majuba, stepping into the U75kg division, is riding a wave of confidence after a recent training session. “Training is going well with the team,” he shared with full confidence. The fighter thrives on the sport’s predictability, saying: “In kickboxing, there are no surprises, and that’s what I like.”
Facing an opponent in Henning, who has stumbled in his last three stand-up fights, Majuba expects a fierce challenge. “I think he’s going to bring his all… I am ready for a good show. I’m going to be showcasing my full kickboxing skills, my boxing and my kicks together.” His blend of techniques could steal the spotlight in this headline bout.

On the undercard, Lucky Magekha is battling through adversity as he prepares for his U71kg fight. Still nursing a painful leg from his recent EFC 126 bout against Moses Mokhari, he’s adapting to a switch in opponents, from Iviwe Msuthu to Allister Kunene. His training has leaned heavily on kickboxing, with a twist. “We have been training mostly kickboxing, but we mix it up since Tebatso Molele and Mika Ngomane are fighting September 11.” He hinted at a versatile approach that could surprise fans.
The event boasts a stacked lineup, including matchups like Ntuthuko Gama vs Thole Magubane and Reginald Dithupe vs Siyanda Vilakazi, showcasing the depth of local talent. As the fighters fine-tune their skills, the stage is set for an unforgettable evening of kicks and punches.
