The competition consists of two categories for junior and senior participants.

All local schools have already received entry forms with topics and learners of all ages are encouraged to boast their creative writing skill, by participating in the competition.

The first category is open to Primary School learners and the second category is for high school learners.

The total prize money for the competition is R3 600, which will be split between the respective winners – towards their school fees. Winners will receive a cash prize of R200, R150 and R100 respectively in the different categories.

Winners will be announced the Nigel Methodist Church fete on June 4 and must be present.

Closing date for the competition is May 16 – hurry up and get those fingers working on your winning essay.
