Application forms are available at all Customer Care Centers and should be submitted on or before August 15 at the Grants-in-Aid Administrative Support Office in Germiston (see address below).
According to Gadebe, proposals for financial support should be submitted for projects in sports, recreation, arts and culture, social cohesion, local economic development, sustainable job creation and social development.
It is important that application forms include the following:
- Latest certified financial statement;
- Business plan and budget estimate clearly indicating development programmes benefiting
the previously disadvantaged;
- Copy of the latest municipal service account or a letter from the finance department reflecting
the municipal account debt status such as the payment arrangements to pay off the arrears.
These proposals will be adjudicated and the approved grant will be awarded from November 2017.
Unsuccessful bidders will be notified in writing within three months after the adjudication process is
finalised.
