No splashing for the time being
Nigel and Alrapark residents will have to seek other alternatives to stay cool
The City of Ekurhuleni announced on September 1 that the swimming pools in Nigel and Alrapark will remain closed until further notice.
Officials said that this was due to a delay in the supply of pool chemicals.
No indication was given as to when the pools will reopen for public use.
“Residents will be notified as soon as the pools are ready for public use,” municipal spokesperson Themba Gadebe said in a statement.
