Mayor of Lesedi’s Christmas message

Best wishes from Cllr Lerato Maloka.

It’s that time again to say merry Christmas, happy Holidays and a happy New Year. It’s hard to believe just how months, weeks and days fly by.

This past year has been a year of many accomplishments for Lesedi Local Municipality. Our community has drawn together and we have accomplished more than ever before. Even in challenging circumstances, through the shared ownership of our municipality we managed to accomplish quite a few notable and sustainable projects and programmes towards better service delivery and better livelihoods for the people of Lesedi. A lot has been planned for the new year, we just aim to improve on where we are ending the year on.

As we celebrate this holiday season, I hope we will spend more time with family and friends. Let’s use this time to reflect and count our blessings. The greatest gift we could exchange this season is to serve one another. May I ask you all to remember your neighbours at this time of year, especially the elderly and those who live alone.

I would also like to extend a special welcome to those who have come home to Lesedi to be with their families and hope that you have a wonderful time. Those that are travelling, travel safe and remember to get the little ones properly buckled up at the back.

My very best wishes go to those who are sick at home or in hospital this festive season and I wish you a speedy recovery.

On behalf of Lesedi Local Municipality, I wish you all the love and blessings of the season.

We look forward with anticipation to another great year in 2018.

Happy Holidays!
