Executive Mayor Of Ekurhuleni Cllr Masina Warns The Public About Bogus City Inspectors

Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni Cllr Mzwandile Masina condemns in the strongest possible terms bogus environmental health inspectors who go around Ekurhuleni illegally raiding spaza shops under false pretence that they come from the City of Ekurhuleni, and their activities are sanctioned by the Executive Mayor.
The Mayor has noted with concern the activities of these rogue individuals, and reports of theft from some spaza shops by the bogus inspectors. Mayor Masina has reiterated that the City’s Environmental Health practitioners would not steal from residents.
Residents are further informed that the City of Ekurhuleni environmental health practitioners are issued with identity cards that bear the photos of the concerned practitioners and the telephone number of the office from which a particular inspector comes from.
Residents who are accosted by the bogus inspectors can verify the authenticity of so-called practitioners by calling the City’s Health and Social Development offices below, depending on the area, which the practitioner claims to be from:
