New cleaning projects expected for August

Earth Owl aims to host two cleaning projects in August.

The company known as Earth Owl hopes to host two clean-up projects in August as well as to begin its tree-planting project in September.

“Due to the restrictions of the level four lockdown earlier in July, we couldn’t host any of our planned cleaning projects or campaigns,” said Roché Pepler, one of the co-founders of Earth Owl.

“That is why we will be aiming to get two clean-ups done in August to make up for some of the lost time.

“Although we still need to confirm a date, we have already selected the area for our next clean-up project, which will be the Mackenzieville Park area.

“The area sees a lot of litter and dumping that normally ends up polluting the river.”

Pepler also indicated that they will start their tree-planting project in September, whereby they will plant various indigenous trees in parks in and around Nigel.

The dates and areas relating to these projects will be confirmed once the final details surrounding them have been finalised.
