Operation Basadi was concluded by SAPS members from the Sedibeng District on August 27 by educating women on the basics of gender-based violence (GBV).
The goal of the operation was to showcase their support of women who are victims of GBV, as well as to uplift and educate women on how to build their self-esteem and self-confidence.
Women from all law enforcement agencies joined hands in combating crime against women.
Pamphlets were distributed to the public as part of the operation.
Female police officers also engaged with women from the Heidelberg community on how to protect themselves.
