Cycle challenge postponed
The cycle challenge hosted by Meals on Wheels has been postponed until November.
The cycle challenge planned for the benefit of the Meals on Wheels organisation and projects on August 29 has been postponed until November.
This comes after police feared for cyclists’ safety due to rumours of planned unrest on the day.
The Heidelberg Meals on Wheels team expressed their sadness that the challenge did not take place due to unforeseen circumstances.
“We apologise for the inconvenience the postponement of the event has caused,” said Charl du Toit, communications and marketing person of Heidelberg Meals on Wheels.
“We hope to still see everyone in November for the event.”
More details surrounding the event will follow closer to the time of it.
