Ward councillor candidates: We want to hear from you

We invite all political parties; ward councillor candidates to introduce themselves to voters through the Heraut.

Following the Constitutional Court of South Africa’s ruling that the municipal elections not be postponed, citizens are preparing to go to the polls to cast their votes.

The ruling was followed by the announcement that the elections will be held on November 1, moving from the initial date of October 27.

We aim to assist our readers in making informed decisions and invite all political parties’ ward councillor candidates to grab the opportunity to introduce themselves to voters through the Heraut.

Tell us, in no more than 250 words, why residents deserve your vote.

The closing date for contacting the publication is October 11.

Candidates can email Letitia Greyling at letitiag@caxton.co.za and the subject must include: 2021 Municipal Elections, the candidate’s name, ward and political affiliation.

Along with your write-up, which should not exceed the word limit, submit a photograph of yourself.

The Heraut does not endorse any specific political party or candidate and only aims to help our readers make an informed decision.
