The female victim was found by her neighbours.

HEIDELBERG – The Ratanda SAPS is investigating a case of murder after the body of a 72-year-old woman was found in a pool of blood.

According to information, the SAPS received a call from residents on Motsatsi Street, Ext 3, on January 6 at 19:20. When officers arrived at the address, they found the victim. She was half-naked, with a cut on the side of her neck.

There were no signs of forced entry into the premises. According to reports given to the SAPS, the victim’s sister last saw her on the same day the body was found.
