Nigel gymnasts impress with podium finishes at first event of the year

From beam to vault, Nigel’s young gymnasts proved their talent at their first competition of the season, bringing home medals and setting the stage for more success.

Nigel Gymnastics made an impressive start to their competitive season when their Level 4–7 athletes took part in their first event on August 15 and 16.

The team returned home with excellent results:

  • Mieke (Level 5): second place on beam
  • Joanika du Plessis (Level 6): third place on beam
  • Kaylee de Bruyne (Level 7): third place on beam
  • Alyssa Maritz: second place on vault and bars, third place on floor
  • René Vogel (Level 7): third place on bars, beam, vault and floor, finishing third overall

Coaches and supporters expressed pride in the gymnasts’ achievements and said they looked forward to seeing the athletes continue their strong performances throughout the rest of the season.
