The 2025 Spring Bowls Business League will soon return to the greens at the Heidelberg Bowling Club. Warm spring evenings, camaraderie and good sportsmanship are all part of this popular league, which begins in October.

The league is played twice a year, with this year’s autumn champions being CA Financials. The spring edition, one of the highlights on Heidelberg’s bowling calendar, will kick off on October 16 at the Heidelberg Bowling Club.

Teams will be competing not only for the coveted winners’ trophy and title, but also for the “toucher” award and the spirited team spirit trophy. The current spirit trophy holders are LTE Glass and Aluminium.

Matches will be played on Thursdays following the opening, weather permitting. A record number of 28 teams has been accepted into this year’s tournament, with the final scheduled for October 30.

With bowls being a game for both young and old, the league also provides an excellent team-building opportunity for local businesses. Games are played on a round-robin basis, with each end timed to be completed within 40 minutes.
