Heidelberg SAPS recover female body on roadside

The Heidelberg SAPS are investigating a case of murder after a community member found a woman’s body on the R23 on January 28.

According to the Heidelberg SAPS communications officer, Constable Doris Nkosi, the community member notified the SAPS about the body.

Upon arrival on the scene, police found the woman’s naked body opposite the Total garage, her head covered with a black refuse bag and her body with a blanket.

The police have estimated her to have been about 30 years old.
