Heidelberg SAPS leads crime prevention operation in Bergsig

Heidelberg SAPS, the Local Drug Action Committee, CPF, Siyabangena Patrollers, and Youth Desk conducted a social crime prevention operation in Bergsig on April 3.

The team distributed about 200 pamphlets during the campaign.

The SAPS and law enforcement role players will monitor the area continuously to keep the area clean of intruders.

Further issues addressed included community safety, house burglaries and the use of narcotics and drugs.

The role players arrested three for drug-related charges and four for sexual offences and issued four traffic offence notifications to the value of R2 000.

The police urge the community to report all criminal offences or knowledge of crimes to their local SAPS.
