A multi-disciplinary Operation Shanela was conducted in Heidelberg on October 30 under the co-ordination of the Lesedi Local Municipality, focusing on law enforcement and regulatory compliance in the area.

The joint operation involved traffic officers, municipal officials and law enforcement agencies, who worked together to ensure adherence to road safety and business regulations.

Results of the operation included the issuing of traffic fines, inspections of unroadworthy vehicles and business trading compliance checks.

“We remain committed to ensuring that all businesses within Lesedi operate within the legal framework. Non-compliance will not be tolerated,” reads a municipal statement.

The municipality emphasised that the operation forms part of its ongoing efforts to maintain law and order, enhance community safety and promote accountability among local businesses.
