Heidelberg Business Chamber enjoys AGM

Businesses need to be seen in Lesedi.

On November 23, Heidelberg Chamber of Business held their AGM.

Chamber president Yolandi Boshoff welcomed everyone and said, “A tough but successful year for the Heidelberg Chamber of Business was reflected on.

“The good news is that we are revamping the business chamber and making it better and more people-friendly.
“That includes the MyLesedi App that will be available for all businesses to register onto and be found more easily.”

“We need to promote the businesses more in Lesedi and want to get all businesses to be part of the chamber,” said vice-president Toto Yende.

“We are looking at different marketing strategies in the new year. Businesses need to be seen from all walks of life.”

Boshoff further mentioned, “We are looking at service delivery issues that we are experiencing from Lesedi Local Municipality.

“We are in the process of addressing them with legal representatives and then confronting LLM. We want LLM to be put to task and keep them accountable for the promises that they made when the councillors were elected.

“We need to follow the legal route so that everything is done according to law.”

Tony Burisch of Heidelberg Heritage Association took everyone on a short tour through the history of Heidelberg.

“Remember the chamber is only as strong as the number of businesses that are part of the chamber. We need to stand together as one to succeed,” concluded Boshoff.
