Local cyclist participates in the Midvaal cycle race

Fast time at the Fast One Cycle race for local cyclist.

A local cyclist from Route 42, Nigel’s Len Hartlett took part in the Midvaal Fast One Cycle Challenge on January 29.
The Fast One is a 103km bicycle race.

Hartlett was sponsored by his employer Matthew Mc Gregor, owner of Matagri, which is located in Vorsterkroon.
Hartlett completed the distance in a time of 2:32:35.

The Midvaal cycle race route starts in Meyerton winding up to and including Walkerville/Randvaal and back to Meyerton.

The winner of the 103km race was Franco Ferreira, second place was Martin Pieterse and third Drikus van der Walt. Ferreira’s winning time was 2:23:55

The ladies winners were Ricci-Lee Brookstone, second place Tanit Kruger and third Erica Potgieter. Brookstone’s winning time was 2:30:50

The Midvaal Fast One Cycle Challenge is an official Premier Seeding Event for the Cape Town Cycle Tour.
