One of the relays at the Retief Street substation kept tripping on February 10 after load-shedding, which left parts of Heidelberg in the dark.
Mainly the industrial area, Shalimar Ridge and Heidelberg Small holdings were affected.
During the past weekend, Eskom tried to repair the relay but was unsuccessful.
Due to the relay not being fixed, the Lesedi Local Municipality’s electrical department will implement internal load-shedding to all areas in Heidelberg to ensure that all residents and businesses can get electricity from time to time.
The internal load-shedding will continue until Eskom can get the relay repaired.
