Lesedi Municipality awards title deeds

New landowners in Heidelberg received their title deeds.

Lesedi Local Municipality and other government dignitaries handed over title deeds to beneficiaries in the Lesedi area on October 15.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi; MEC for Human Settlements, Tasneem Motare and LLM Executive Mayor Mluleki Nkosi handed over approximately 2 000 title deeds to beneficiaries in the Obed Nkosi Ext 3 and Impumelelo areas.

The event marked a crucial step towards guaranteeing land ownership for the local communities under the Ikageleng Land Release Programme umbrella.

Nkosi expressed his gratitude towards Lesufi and Motara for their support and assistance.

“The government’s commitment demonstrates the dedication to improving the lives of our residents,” said Nkosi while addressing the community in attendance.

“The deeds give you permission to participate in the economy, and we, as the provincial government, want to congratulate you on your security of tenure,” concluded Lesufi.
