Slap Fighting showdown: Pieter ‘Bulldog’ Vorster vs Johan ‘The Beast’ Borman in Midrand
The local super heavy weight slap fighter is looking forward to the match.
Pieter ‘Bulldog’ Vorster and Johan ‘The Beast’ Borman are gearing up to have their super heavyweight slap fight at the Local Bar and Kitchen in Midrand on November 2.
Pieter is Brakpan-based and fighting under the SASFA banner. The fight is the main event, after an arm wrestling match that starts at 16:00.
Slap fighting as a sport in South Africa is gaining popularity, despite not yet being regulated and being highly controversial. SASFA, however, assures that their fights are well-managed.
Medics constantly monitor the fighters between rounds, and there are rules about where and how to land a hit to protect fighters from serious injury and permanent damage.
It is not encouraged to bring children to these matches due to the risk of imitation, but adults are invited to enjoy the evening.
