The Vaal Marina SAPS and its Social Crime Prevention co-ordinator, sector commander, Vispol support, finance personnel, operations commander and stakeholders recently visited retail establishments in the area, looking for expired goods.
This visit is in line with various operations in all the areas to get rid of expired goods and ensure all food items are fresh and safe to eat.
While going through the retail, spaza and tuck shops, they confiscated expired goods (about 250 food items) and destroyed them at a waste site.
Community members must immediately contact their local authorities if they find expired stock
