Win up to R20k in the Umsizi noPende art project

Gauteng artists are invited to submit their best contemporary artworks and showcase their talent at the Springs Art Gallery.

The fourth annual Umsizi noPende visual art project returns to the Springs Art Gallery, and artists are invited to enter the competition by submitting their best artworks.

The project aims to hone the artistic skills of aspirant artists across the city by giving them a professional platform to showcase their work. In return, they could receive prize money of up to R20,000.

Artists eligible to enter must be 21 years of age or older and residents of Gauteng. Proof of residence might be requested.

A maximum of two artworks per artist can be entered, and all entries must be submitted at the 4th Annual Umsizi Nopende.

Submissions are open until January 13 at 16:00.

Entries must be only in these artistic contemporary expressions:
• Painting;
• Printmaking;
• Drawing;
• Mixed media collage;
• Photography.
